Hi Humans.
The first step is acceptance. I am accepting that I love Animal Crossing.
I actually didn't get into Animal Crossing until I had a DS. The original one. I got Wild World and I was immediately hooked. It's just so fun! Right? I had two characters on there. One of them was named Katie (duh!) while the other one was named Yumi (from Code Lyoko). I always (still do) make up stories while playing the game. For example, Yumi and Katie were sisters and Katie moved out from home first, moving to a town called Home (I didn't know that I was supposed to name my town on the bus). Katie lived there a long time before Yumi decided she wanted to come and stay with her sister. Katie was always the very sweet one to all her neighbors and did anything for them. Yumi; however, was very rough around the edges and didn't take to being bossed around by Nook and the neighbors. She was always pretty rude and she didn't, for the longest time, show her worth to Katie. In fact, she was pretty much a nuisance. Katie would try to pick up the slack on the loan by going out and fishing, catching bugs, selling shells, furniture, fruit, anything she could get her hands on really, and Yumi just used her money on things right away. It was a very bad habit. Finally, Katie got tired of Yumi's crap and told her that if she didn't help with the loans right away, Katie was kicking her out, after all, it was HER house.
After that, Yumi understood that sweet, innocent Katie, wasn't bluffing. So she started to save her money almost immediately as she earned it. She put it in the bank and donated at least 5,000 bells from her earnings that day. Katie and Yumi got along much better after that.
And that's my fun story about the two of them. Isn't that sad? I was addicted to playing Wild World.
When we got the Wii, you better believe it that we got Animal Crossing: City Folk. I wasn't into that one as much. I still played, but I wasn't as involved.
Then I got Animal Crossing: New Leaf and boy did my life change haha. My animal crossing life, that is. I was hooked. I was mayor of my town called Twilight. My character's name was Kairi. Her best friends in the town are Merry and Sydney.

New Leaf was a big source of distressing for me. Especially when I had exams in school. It was nice to just disappear into a stress free world and relax. Plus, there was enough drama in Animal Crossing to fill you in on your own life.
Like the fact that Brewster got his own coffee shop, or that Blathers went to school so he could analyze fossils for you!
Plus, the villagers would sometimes rub each other the wrong way, or even the actual residents! Like the biggest love triangle in Animal Crossing history!
Pelly vs. Pete vs. Phyllis.
Any real Animal Crossing player would know the story between the three of these characters. I made up this graph on Polyvore (my own true love).

I love making these on Polyvore just for warning. So Pelly and Phyllis are sisters if you didn't know. Pelly, the younger one, is in love with Pete, the mailman. Now Pete, is kind of an idiot, and he is in love with Phyllis. Phyllis on the end here, could care less about Pete. She works the night shift in the post office while Pelly works during the day. Phyllis is always really grouchy.
Now, I don't know what team you're on, but I'm on team Pete and Pelly. I want Pete to man up and see that Pelly loves him. Pete just kinda thinks that Pelly is a little kid compared to Phyllis. Pelly is just very sweet though.
Anyways, leave your vote down here to tell me which of the two you ship. I'll catch you later humans!
